History

Established in 1979, the UP Chapter of API has a rich history, with its first conference held in Allahabad under the leadership of Founder Chairman Dr. N N Gupta. The chapter has since grown, hosting conferences in various cities across Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi, and Agra in the early years.

Today, we have a strong membership of approximately 1400, which continues to grow. We successfully conduct annual conferences that rotate across Uttar Pradesh, with 41 conferences held till date and 42nd to be held in Nov 25 at GSVM Kanpur.

Aims

Periodic Meetings

Hold periodical meetings, conferences, and social gatherings to promote professional interaction and knowledge sharing among members.

Clinical Workshops

Arrange clinical discourses, discussions, demonstrations, and workshops on subjects of interest to the Chapter for continuous medical learning.

Research and Training

Actively encourage research, teaching, and training programs at various centers to enhance academic and clinical excellence.

Public Education

Engage in public education and awareness programs aimed at improving preventive healthcare for the benefit of all.

Publications

Publish, distribute, or circulate records, transactions, and proceedings of meetings and conferences organized by the Chapter.

Objectives

Collaboration

Coordinate with other societies and organizations having similar or allied objectives to achieve shared goals.

Financial Management

Raise, borrow, or invest funds belonging to the Chapter as deemed appropriate for its development and sustainability.

Infrastructure

Erect, maintain, improve, or repair any building or facility occupied or owned by the Chapter to ensure smooth functioning.

Supportive Activities

Undertake all other actions that are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the Chapter’s objectives.

Digital Outreach

Develop and maintain digital platforms, such as websites and online learning portals, to facilitate continuous education.
